Baby stopped cooing/babbling

My LG is 4 months old and she seems to have stopped cooing/babbling as much. She used to talk a lot but now she says something very occasionally. Recently, she has been dribbling, blowing bubbles and sticking his hands in his mouth a lot. Sometimes she opens up her mouth and moves her lips as if she's about to talk but no sound comes out. I'm worried something's wrong with her. Has anyone experienced this?

Hi, my little girl is very similar and 4 and a half months. She’s been like it on and off, sometimes she will talk loads other days she won’t say anything. I think it’s to do with the 4 month regression and them learning lots of new skills. Nothing to worry about as far as I’ve been told 😊. I’m sure they will be back to their chatty self once the regression is over 😁

Mine did. Then started again louder and with a bunch of new noises. Try not to worry

This happened to mine but then I was told it’s called a leap, their little brains are learning so much during this time that they can go quieter and grouchy but they’ll go back to normal x

I thought the same thing about a week or two ago. My little boy used to talk a lot and now only sometimes. He’s 5 months old on Friday. I think it’s normal xx

Hi, how’s your baby doing now? My baby is 5 months now and not as chatty as before.

@Suzy I wouldn’t worry. My little boy now talks a lot. He’s 11 months.
