Non-toxic sofas?
Sofas without fire retardants in the UK? Why is it so difficult to find one?! These chemicals have been banned in other countries yet still allowed in UK. Anyone ever found a non toxic sofa in the UK that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg?

As an interior designer I’ve never been able to find an ‘off the shelf’ non toxic sofa. The only way to do it is to get one reupholstered or made bespoke with a non toxic fabric.
I think west elm claims lower toxins but isn’t there something about uk regs that mean sofa companies HAVE to include some of this nasty stuff?

Oh gosh I feel you! I went down the rabbit hole on this one and couldn’t find smithing. The best I’ve managed so far is just to air the sofa and use my airdoctor filter to remove VOCs from the air. Please let me know if you find anything!! I’ve found a mattress if that’s useful 😂 una mattresses
