Clingy toddler

I'm 31 weeks pregnant with my first baby girl and my 19 month old has been super clingy lately. Do y'all think he finally senses that we're having another baby? He hasn't shown that he is aware that I am pregnant but we have been doing a lot of prepping for baby the past few weeks and he doesn't want to be out of my husband and I arms.always wants us to hold him and throws a tantrum when we put him down. I want him to be secure that mom and dad has him. Any tips to make him feel secure.

I saw this post about women producing more oxytocin starting around 32 weeks. Supposedly, young children can feel this increase and want to be cuddled more. It helps their nervous system calm down and begin to get ready for the new addition coming. Is it true...I'm not sure but it's an interesting idea. My son is 18 months and has also been super clingy.

@Jubilee oh no :( I'm sorry! That sounds horrible! Do you have anyone that can help so you don't have to be up as much?

That's interesting 🤔. @Sheala I've been trying to spend as much time with him. We even let him sleep in the bed with us now to make sure he gets all the daddy mommy things me before baby girl gets here. But it's getting hard for me to move around too. Wish you momma's the best
