Honestly, I have read somewhere that peppa pig is very addictive. Maybe have the tv on but have music playing instead. Tv is still on with sound but if you have radio. There will be nothing to watch. Wean her off. Or have nursery rhymes that she can dance to playing, so she doesn’t sit and stare?
Try putting less stimulating shows on, like bluey. We have the tv on sometimes and she does ask for it, but I don’t give in all the time. She eventually realises it’s not going on and she finds something else to do.
Completely banned it due to seeing a crazy change in her behaviour, tantrums and asking for the next program on after about 3 mins. We’ve now got music on or telly off and got her a tablet, she watches one video and then it goes off. She’s so much more engaged in her toys and interacting lots with me and her dad- will be doing the same for my April baby!xx
My LO is obsessed with toddler club on cebeebies! I made the mistake of showing her the songs on YouTube on my phone because she loves to dance to them and now she just hands me my phone constantly to play them 😂
PP also banned in our house. I think you have to bite the bullet and turn it off and just deal with it, after 1 day she will be good. We found this show on YouTube called ‘helper cars’ (my boy is obsessed with cars’ and my god I don’t know what it does to him but he’s like a zombie and when it’s finished or turns off the meltdown / tantrum is something else. That’s banned now we stick to bluey, hey dugee, bing etc and very small amounts x
I don't let my boy watch videos on my phone because we did it once and got obsessed with these ball videos. Just have to stop it completely if it's causing a problem.
My boy is 21 months and is obsessed with books. Literally follows me around wanting to read books all day. I’ve created a monster! Give me tv any day!
