Standing in crib then falling (hitting head)

My 8 month old is pulling himself up and trying to cruise in crib through the night. He will silently wake and stand up only to last a few minutes and the fall eventually usually due slipping and hitting some part of his body on crib. He’s been sleeping in his crib since 4 months and up until now has been sleeping 9-11 hours a night. We have dropped his crib to the lowest setting and he can still get up, he also uses a sleep sack (Kyte) has anyone else dealt with this?!? I don’t know what to do.

He's just practicing. He'll probably keep doing it for a while but will eventually stop. There isn't much you can do to stop it, unfortunately! Please don't add any bumpers or anything to the cot - they're really not safe.

@Caroline I know not to add anything but this kids snacks his head and face multiple times a night. Hard to just go pat the mattress and encourage to lay down when he’s screaming from hurting himself… ugh. Just so stressful.

Maybe try to put him down before he hits his head so that he understand that's not the place and the time to practice Also you can offer him practicing this skill during the day when you're besides him and making sure he's safe. Good luck!

@Noor this would be so good except for he wakes up at like 3am stands up silently then eventually falls which is how I wake up.

I have no advise just came to say the picture is so cute haha
