You don't need a special nappy for breastfed babies just use the regular swim nappies
Any swim nappy is fine, I would avoid EcoNaps as they run very small. I would normally feed bubs in our bathers still as he was starving after swimming. You can shower or wait till home, get bubs changed and then just lay them on the bench in front of you while you change, or bring the pram in
@Trinity breastfed babies have runnier poo and since swim nappies don't hold in liquid, I'm looking for recommendations of brands that might work better than others.
If your prone to poop explosion or super liquid poop I would suggest you double nappy with either a disposable or any reusable snap/Velcro swim nappy but then top that with the reusable neoprene style ones. The neoprene style ones need to be tight on the legs/tummy but they contain poop better than the other ones. But they are horrible to take off if that's your only nappy and you have a massive liquid poo in there.. because they are tight and fiddly to get on/off and add a massive poo into the mix and just no... 😵💫
Check with your swim school. They may have certain requirements in regards to the type of swim nappies. I would suggest getting disposables and then putting a reusable, tight swim nappy (with broad bands along the thighs and belly) on top. We use the happy nappy splash about.
Most pools require you to double up on swim nappies. We used the Huggies disposable nappy then we used a reusable swim nappy over the top of the Huggies. After the double nappy we put the swimsuit on the top. It’s not that bulky as swim nappies and the reusable swim nappies aren’t think or padded.
I took my daughter from that age as well. Also ebf. We never had a poop incident. I used the disposable Huggies swim nappies as well as the reusable ones from iconic. They're bare and boho brand. They last ages! She still juuuuuuust fits into them at 2.5. When we first went it was a swimming school that only had kids lessons, no public swimming (rackleys) so if I needed to change after the lovely reception staff would hold her or watch her in the pram otherwise I just went home in a towel. At a big public pool setting I'd use the family change room and a pram so I could change or again, home in a towel.
