Anyone planning on Brazilian waxing before delivery?

I’m don’t want to give birth all hairy down there and I know when I’m due I won’t be able to see (in order to shave) so I’m wondering if waxing is safe/what you other mamas do?

Me! I have given so many pregnant women Brazilians up to their due date. Some doctors don’t recommend it though due to the risk of infection. Make sure the person you’re going to is VERY experienced. & that they practice in a safe and clean environment. No newbies. Also the pain associated can be higher while you’re pregnant. Some don’t tolerate it as well. That’s why you definitely want someone who is skilled and quick. ❤️

@Caroline are you an aesthetician? So good to know!! I think I’m going to do it at a really high-end place. I’ll splurge. Haha

Yes! I’ll be sad when my back can’t take doing them anymore. Finding someone who specializes in waxing is your best bet. I’ve not been looking forward to getting it done myself but for me— I can’t put her out there wild and ungroomed under a spot light. 😂

I just wax myself to hype myself for whats to come 😬

Yes, but I have been getting them regularly for 7 years now. As long as you go to a reputable, clean place you will be fine. My waxer says she has pregnant women in all the time. I will warn you though, it is extra sensitive down there when you’re pregnant. For me waxes weren’t uncomfortable before I was pregnant but now they are, nothing horrible just be prepared lol

To me that sounds like a terrible idea. May I ask why anyone does this?

@Victoria to remove hair lol

How many weeks prior to your due dates are you planning to get waxed?

Probably about 1- 2 weeks. For me since I’m having a c section, I wanted it close enough to my scheduled date, without having to wait too long to get my next one after I have the baby.
