Start your own business or work from home jobs

Hi All, I want to ask other mothers (partners or single parents) who hav young kids if you guys decided to start ur own business or do a job which give you an option to work from home? Or decided to be a full time parent. I have a 23month old baby and another baby coming in July this year. I didn't go back to my workplace after my first baby because it's quiet far from home. For the last 5-6 months I was applying for jobs close to home, but I wasn't successful for some roles and some roles I declined (but now I think I should hav taken up one of the roles atleast, even though it wasn't the perfect role I was looking for). Now that I am pregnant, not sure many companies would hire someone who is pregnant and having a baby soon. So I wanted to ask if some mothers (partners or single parents) started their own business after u had ur baby(or babies)? Was it a challenge or an easy fete? Or are there many work from home jobs? I couldn't find much. R many companies requiring people to work from office? I reside in Sydney, Australia. Are there any other ways to earn income that can help in this period of inflation?
