I have frozen breast milk - what to do with it?

My son is nearly 10 months. I stopped breast feeding at 6 months. I don't want it to go to waste. It won't confuse him if I give it to him? Is there any science or guidance of when to give it to him that's best? Like, is it good for his immune system? He starts nursery in a couple of weeks so could give it to him then? I don't want to cook it in his food because it was precious milk at the time I'm quite protective of it, keeping the milk as milk 😂 thanks

From the date you froze it, you have 6m to use in a standard freezer and 12m to use in a deep freeze (such as a chest freezer, that isn’t used often). Once it’s defrosted you have 24hrs to use. I don’t think you would confuse him to add it to the milk he is currently drinking! For example, let’s say he has 6oz bottles of formula, use 1/2oz of breast and the rest his formula, and you can do that with every bottle for example to use the bay of frozen milk up in the 24hr period. They say that 50ml of breastmilk can give babies the antibody boost (I believe). You could save a small amount and have breastmilk jewellery made to commemorate that part of your parenting journey 💕

@Lauren aw bless you, that's really helpful. I will do just that xx 🥰🥰

Of course! I exclusively pump, so truly understand how precious the milk in the freezer is, it takes a lot to be okay using it 🥰 xx

You could add it to some of their food?
