Are godparents checked if they're christened?

No they are not checked. We are godparents and are not christened ourselves.

When my LG was christened i filled out the paperwork to give to our vicar which needed to include who we chose for godparents and a tick box to say if they had been christened/baptised. Only 1 out of the 5 we chose hadnt been christened but nothing was said about it and the other 4 wasnt checked to see if they had been christened. This was back in 2022 😊

Yeah it does when we 1st started booking the christening our vicar said that all godparents had to be christened so we panicked about the 1 who hadnt but still put them down on the form anyway and we expected them to say no but nothing was said about it so they were able to be a godparent x
