@Emma ah thank you. I put on my form I'd be finishing work on the 31st Jan. I'll give them a call on Thursday x
I told them my finish date but they still want me to send the form back 🤦♀️
I heard back from them on Friday via letter and I sent my stuff off at the end of December. They requested more information from me before they make a decision... in my case I may have to work until the 22nd of March and I'm due the 27th of March in order to qualify 😅. Does anyone know if you go into labour earlier than due date if you can still claim? Xx
@Emma that's so strange! I've had nothing from them
I’m also due 6th March, I heard back last Wednesday and sent all mine off mid December, I had the text to say I will hear in 4 weeks at beginning on Jan.
@Gemma oh no, I'm sorry that's so awful! X
@Meg a bit strange isn't it? I'm going to write back and hopefully I can finish a bit earlier than that haha. Hopefully you hear from them soon! I bet you will xx
Also due on the 6th, I got my letter last monday asking me to send back when I finished work, I think I sent mine off originally about a week and a half before then? So definitely give them a call on Thursday or Friday for sure.
In my case, I applied on the 2nd of January and on the 19th I got a letter saying how much I would get and the dates. I was paid on the 31st of January. I think my case was faster because I was unemployed before getting the allowance, so I didn’t have to send any letter back confirming my last day of work. I suggest you call and chase your case. Did you put the correct address and details right? I don’t know if that helps :) xx
Thanks for all the advice everyone. I phoned today and it seems my letter was posted on the 20th so hopefully just a delay! X
@Gemma I'd definitely give them a phone! That's just awful, I couldn't imagine working up until that close to being due. I phoned them just there and they were quite helpful xx
Yeah I heard Friday took around 3 weeks I’d defo give them a call Thursday x
I applied at the beginning of Jan, got my letter on Saturday and it says I'm not entitled to anything as I haven't worked for 9 months but when I was working, I was 3 weeks short of being able to get it
I applied for it on the 9th January, received a text message about a week later saying they had received my claim and to expect a decision within 4 weeks. I received a letter a few days ago detailing what I am entitled to etc and what they owe me (in backdated payments) x
