Biogaia Probiotic Drops

Has any mums given their 1 month old Biogaia Probiotic Drops to help with wind / gas? On the package is says not recommended for babies less than 4 months of age. But my friend said her paediatrician recommended it to her baby when she was just a month old. I just wanted to know if there’s any other mums whom have fed the drops to their babies before 4 months?

I started giving them to my bub when he was about 3 or 4 weeks old but I didn’t notice a difference (good or bad) so I stopped. In saying that, nothing and I mean NOTHING has worked for us so far and he’s now almost 5 months.

@Courtney oh no 😢 yeah, I’m not quite sure what to do. He seems to be in a bit of pain all the time.

I definitely didn’t wait until 4 months, but it was more than a month. My paediatrician didn’t say anything when I told her that we stated my daughter on it and I know my SIL was told by her paediatrician to use them quite early on with my nephews.

My doctor had me start them at 1 month

I found them helpful (probiotics are generally good to get in them regardless) but also cut out dairy at the same time so not sure which helped more!

@Amy I use infacol for my 9 weeks in old and it’s been working wonders. I started using it at 4 weeks old

@Amy I’m sorry your little one seems to be in pain, it’s horrible to go through and even worse when you try and try but just can’t help them 🥺 I’m still in the same situation, however it’s not like he’s screaming in pain or inconsolable so I know that it’s not colic. He’s just an extremely gassy baby and the reflux formula adds to that but unfortunately he needs to be on that formula. I’m at a vicious cycle! I hope you’re little one grows out of it soon x
