So before becoming pregnant that was always my biggest fear. Now I don’t even think about it. I’m committed to having an unmediated birth and I’ve just convinced myself that I can so. Like you I’m hoping that mindset doesn’t change but I think it’s all about mind set if we don’t let the fear take over we can absolutely get through it.
I’ve had two fast, unmedicated homebirths so far, and I’m planning the same for this one!
Before pregnancy I was to the point I actually didn’t want to have biological children. But once I got pregnant it was just a fact of life. I went into delivery with my son expecting the absolute worst so at that point there wasn’t really anything to be afraid of. This time I’m not worried about it at all.
You have to go in there with a positive mindset, if you go in there scared it will affect you and your mindset. It is not as bad as they make it out to be!!
If you “work” out your labor muscles (walking, squats, etc) labor is definitely not as painful!
