Moving from Sydney to VIC

Hubby and I are considering moving from Sydney to Victoria. We would be moving away from all our friends and family so it's a big move. Does anyone know of, or even better, does anyone live in a good family suburb that's within an hour from the CBD they could recommend? Thanks :)

There are lots of family friendly suburbs. Depends on your budget though.

Depends what your criteria is but we have friends that live out in Aspendale/ Frankston area near the Mornington Peninsula and love it, still affordable too and it’s on the train line - think you can be in the cbd in about 40 mins

Really depends on your budget. I love MacLeod, Eltham, Greensborough, Dimond Creek etc out North or Ferntree Gully, the basin, Lilydale etc out East. All of the hills (Dandenong ranges) suburbs really, but living in the hills will push your commute to the city to more than 1 hour.

I grew up in Melbourne so biased with my opinion, but I found the south eastern suburbs a nice place to live. Near the beaches still and not a long way from the city. Mordialloc, parkdale, Seaford, langwarrin (in that vicinity). Of course depends what kind of lifestyle you’re after and your budget but I Would look into that area 🙂
