Car seat recommendations

Hi ladies, Can anyone recommend a rear facing car seat for non drivers? I have a car seat set up in my in-laws car as it's used most with them. However, as a non driver, I'd like a back up carseat at home for emergencies and for any travels we do by taxi etc. As we don't drive, ideally it needs to be quite portable etc and not too heavy.
