Bathtime

Does anyone else take baths with their LO? For me I don't have a partner or anyone to watch my LO whilst I wash my hair so I just pop him in the bath aswell since he needs one before bed. I never thought there was anything wrong with this but I've been told its weird 🤷‍♀️ for me it's just easier, he's only 10months so he doesn't care, he just likes being able to play in the bath. Just thought I'd ask what do people think about this?

I’d bath with my baby/child, my baby girl is due next month and always thought sharing a bath with her would be normal xx

i shower with my baby i don’t think it’s weird, if people think it’s weird then their the ones who are weird tbh. keep doing what your doing it’s wayyy easier especially without a partner

From what I've read experts say it's fine until they get older and express discomfort with it which is years away if happens. And how are you washing your hair while you hold a slippery baby 😂 I could never figure that out for me. My son has almost always been in the shower or at least the bathroom or playing with the water while I shower.

When my daughter needs her hair washed I shower with her and since we have 2 shower heads we can do that without one of us getting too cold haha! With my son, either I get in the bath with him, or my husband will shower with him. I had surgery on my wrist in November and I’m still working up the strap I don’t trust myself to hold him in the shower just yet

Yes I've bathed and showered with my baby boy since he was born

@Robin I used to have a bath seat but now he's old enough to sit up in the bath without support

I take my almost 15m old in the shower with me. It just makes life so much easier! Huge time saver and reduces so much stress!

How is bathing with your 10 month old weird? Don’t listen to anybody I was bathing with my children till they was close to 2 I loved splashing with them lol I’m a big kid

Personally I don't, but I do have other ppl in the house that can watch him while I do so, I'm your case I don't think there is an issue w it, there isn't an issue w doing it at all when they are this little, I will say, if you ever want to shower by yourself, I put bub in a square laundry basket w toys and he loves it:)

Hey my 20 month old just climbs in even if he already had a bath by himself…. Hated the infant bath as a babe

Since she was born! I used to bring her little baby lounger in the shower with me sometimes as it was the only way I could shower on some days 😂 Now that she’s big enough she loves playing in the water while I shower! Two bird with one stone, it’s just smarter parenting to me! Lol

I don’t think it’s weird at all, there’s nothing wrong with it. We will sometimes shower with our daughter when she needs a quick wash or we give her a bath in her tub when she needs a good scrubbing. She’s 7 months.
