Baby bottles

Hi everyone! So I'm a mumma to be for the first time 🥺 I'm 20+2 weeks today. I've gotten quite a few baby things already but I just want to know everyone's opinions on baby bottles? I keep looking but I'm not sure which brand is better or what type/size of the bottle to start with. I know every baby is different but I want to buy some bottles🙈 sorry for rambling!

I love MAM bottles, you can sterilise them on the go which is great when you are out and about. 😊

I found the MAM bottles amazing for my baby, they are anti colic and come apart for a proper clean, they come in 3 different sizes! Would definitely recommend them x

You can also get the starter pack which includes a few newborn bottles and then a few others in bigger sizes. There is also the different sizes teats in the starter pack from newborn upwards x

MAM anti colic bottles 100%! Look on Amazon as cheaper than buying in supermarkets etc xx

Another MAM bottle fan here and agree with what others have said about them.

I love Dr Brown's. Both of my boys did great on them! Avent is good too. I recommend sticking to a type that have the narrow nipples not the "boob shape" . They sit in babies mouth better and allow a better latch and suckle. Like above about every brand had a starter pack that gives usually 2 sizes of bottles and start with level 1 nipple

I bought MAM bottles but my baby didn’t take to them so we tried tommee tippee and she loved them

Whichever you pick, don't buy too many of them as your baby might not take to them well. I bought tonnes of tommee tippee ones but the shape mixed with tongue tie meant he struggled to latch to them. The tongue tie clinic actually recommended morrisons own brand and he took to them really well and they're super cheap so I now have loads of expensive bottles that have never been used x

I’ve honestly bought single bottles and had some others I’d researched gifted to us just so that we have a variety to start with. Best bit of advice I recently received was that even if your baby decides they like a bottle, it doesn’t hurt to keep some other extras cause they may randomly decide they no longer like that one brand!

I used MAM bottles.

Mam bottles are what me and my partner went for too

I was gifted the phillips advent and other brands but she ended up only liking the dr brown bottles. Maybe get the starter pack that someone above mentioned so you can see which one your little one likes before you buy a bunch if a certain brand that they end up not liking. Its the same with pacifiers too, we bought a variety pack and she only tolerated one but was never able to keep it in her mouth.

Tommee tippee range. We got the anti colic ones x

I’ve been using mam bottles!!! And I ended up ordering a size 0 nipple that was extra slow flow !

We got tommee tippee closer to nature. As my baby didn’t take to the mam bottles. I would say only maybe buy 2 incase they don’t get on with it

If you’re gonna breastfeed both my midwife and lactation consultant recommend the Lansinoh bottles! They are the most breastfeeding freely! The all for super easy transition from boob, bottle, paci, and back to boob. It also helps support the proper latch due to its tapered shape! My LC also said any wide tapered nipple is best! I believe advent has a wide tapered one, but not sure Ive never used it! Oh also nini co pacis are fantastic for nursing! Exactly like the breast!

i stand by dr browns! it was the only brand that helped with my baby’s trapped gas/ reflux. plus they have pacifiers that are the same shape as the nipples on the bottles. and when your baby has outgrown the classic bottle nipples and you’re ready to transition to a sippy cup, you can order dr browns sippy cup nipples instead of having to throw all your bottles away to buy new ones!

We’ve bought the MAM bottles in 4 and 9oz as we’ve heard really good things about them! X

My mum (she’s 38) just had my baby sister who has colic, really struggles with burping and wind. She sent me these Tommee Tippee anti colic bottles which apaprently are really good. They have a straw down the centre to remove air bubbles - https://amzn.eu/d/hNwY2iI

I love MAM bottles. As others have said they come completely apart so amazing for deep cleaning them & can be sterilised in the microwave so super easy 😊 x

We initially had tommee Tippiee bottles and because our little one was prem she struggled to take to them. She took straight to mam bottles and I wouldn’t go back. I’m currently 21 weeks with my second and I’ll be using mam bottles again x

My LO loves the avent bottles ! He drinks more from them than any of his other bottles.

We had Tommie tippee :)

MAM x

Mam bottles for sure xx

I put the bottle box on babylist on my registry so we can try out a few. I want one that my baby likes and is easy to use and clean so I wanted to try a few. I have heard great things about Dr Browns so I would recommend a pack of those and then buy more when you know which ones work for you guys

We use MAM bottles x

My baby didn't get on with tommee tippee to start so we used mam bottles but now he's nearly 3 months he gets on well with both. The teats are a bit bigger on the tommee tippee to mam x

Dr browns are amazing

I would say get at least three or four different brands no more than five because it will be costly. My son did not like Dr. Brown’s, Tommy tippy or nanobebe. Dr. Brown’s was a gift from Amazon registry. I bought the other two and return them. Phillips avent seems to work for him.

We did the Mason Jar bottle system! Basically, we just bought the nipples (and caps if you want them) and use the 4 oz glass jars and moved up to the 6 oz when our daughter was ready to eat more per feeding. Super easy to clean/ sanitize, very affordable (we had a 6 bottle rotation), and easy to replace bottles should any break OR get lost.

Tommee tippie where best for me as I was breastfeeding. I also used MAM and they are great for just formula feeding in my opinion, they are also amazing for moving your child onto sipped cups quicker.
