Breast feeding

So when I go out to public places I’m planning on pumping before I leave… Obviously I know the baby can drink the milk straight from the bottle if it’s room temperature…. I think But how long can the breast milk be in the bottle until it is no good? Does it work the same way as formula with the 4 hour rule and then it’s classed as no good? I never breastfed my first so I’m not sure

I literally had the same thought yesterday and found this helpful: https://laleche.org.uk/expressing-your-milk/#prepare-milk Can't find the exact page now but there's lots of info 😊

NCT taught us 6,6,6. 6 hours room temp, 6 days in the fridge, 6 months in the freezer. Lots of people and sites will advise differently and ultimately, your boobs will still be with you wherever you go!

Just be prepared that you might not be able to pump. Not everyone can. I just breastfed my Dec 2021 baby until April 2023 but literally couldn't pump a drop. Also if you don't want to breastfeed in public you would need to pump in public in the first few months unless you're not plann on being out longer than 2 hours as missing a feed (whether it's baby or pump) isnt good for your supply or your boobs! Sorry I know that's not what you asked it was just an incase you didn't know x
