Frustrated

3weeks PP C-section and my milk just won’t come. Pumping every 2-3hrs and i would only get 30-50ml. I’ve been massaging my breast with warm cloth, ate lactation cookies, drinks a lot of water and still nothing’s working. LO won’t latch and she doesn’t have a tongue or lip tie. I even tried the nipple shield. It just really frustrates me.🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m 7 weeks pp and going through the exact same, have done everything to try up my supply and nothing is helping x

I think 30-50ml is pretty good! The pump unfortunately doesn’t trigger those hormones you need for your milk to come in/increase. Allow bub to suckle on the breast even if they’re not eating because it triggers the hormones and your brain to produce milk. Lots of skin to skin with bub. And for the pump, use the lowest settings to simulate the suckle motion a baby would do at the breast to get those hormones activated. Or you can use your hand to simulate it too.

30 to 50ml per session?? That’s pretty good

That’s a good amount in 3 weeks!! I’m now 5 weeks and getting 150ml roughly per boob!! Feels like it took me ages to get to this point! But I was getting a lot less early doors!? I kept baby on the boob as long as possible - and then switched to pumping every 3/4 hours!! Like clockwork!!
