Starting IVF

We finally had our appointment with the consultant today and are going ahead with IVF; all of the tests apart from the genetic screening are done, apparently I have to have a mock transfer beforehand but then we’re good to go. The only thing I’m wondering about is how much time I need to not be travelling- obviously I can’t travel for work during the stimulation, but is it a good/bad idea to travel after a transfer? Any advice?

The day of our transfer we went to visit my in-laws for Christmas. Then we went to New York for the weekend when I was 9wks and it was fine. 😂 During the TWW, you should do whatever you can to keep yourself busy. The only thing you need to be aware of is your various appointments, but most of those will be in the stims phase.

Totally fine! We did ours internationally so we travelled 2 days after transfer but were cleared to travel the day after if we wanted

Oh that’s so interesting, honestly the ‘no flight until first scan’ thing I find hard to believe, mainly becuase the idea that I’ll actually be pregnant seems like a crazy fantasy after trying for so long
