TTC advise

We recently suffered a miscarriage and was advised 3 weeks after to take a pregnancy test to make sure this is negative. I am due to take this test next week. It was “recommended” that we wait for at least 1 period before trying again, however we both really want to try again sooner rather than later. Has anyone conceived before their first period after a miscarriage and was everything ok? I know we would be unsure on dates but at this moment I’m really not bothered and just want to try. Xx

Sorry to hear about your MC. We were advised to test after 3 weeks and if negative, you're physically ready to try again as you're very fertile before your next period. It just depends on your mental health and things. I tried to conceive after first MMC but missed the timing and got pregnant after 1 or 2 periods. Unfortunately had another MMC and waiting for a negative test till we can try again. Good luck on your journey! ✨

I took a test the other week as I was wondering if it would be negative that early after a miscarriage. It was actually negative but I will do another one when 3 weeks hits. Physically I feel fine to try again and we both want too, I guess we are just being impatient and I don’t want to wait for my period to turn up. I know this would mess up the dates etc but trying that soon afterwards do you know if this could be successful? I’m so sorry for your losses 💔wishing you all the luck when you being trying again xx

I've seen a few people with successful pregnancies and healthy babies who didn't wait for a period after a MC. =) I think if you're worried physically you should consult with a doctor. I did a test today but still positive unfortunately.

That’s really positive, thank you for sharing ❤️ It’s mentally draining taking the test because once upon a time you wanted it to be positive and now you’re wishing for a negative to try again. Fingers crossed you will be able to begin trying again really soon xx

No worries =) I hope youre successful the next time around and that it happens all smoothly. It is all mentally draining, but hopefully we'll get where we want to be soon ✨
