Following! My 5 week old LB has grey eyes currently too
My son was born with blue eyes then went grey and now brown (14 months old)

@Eboni will they stay that color ? Or does it continue to change?

They say they don’t get there real eye color for 6-12 months. Being that you and hubby are both brown (your baby will have brown also)

My LO started with grey, had tinge of blue and green in some light, almost looked tinged purple, then went kinda blue now is light brown and in certain light, blue. It’s fun. I think your baby will be brown since you and your husband have brown.
My baby has blue eyes and he is nearly 6 months and they have started to darken slightly. I have read online that the eye color will never brighten and will only darken
You'll definitely have to wait a few months to find out exactly but there's a small chance they could stay. My parents are hazel and brown, all siblings are some variation of brown and I have blue/grey eyes. My husband has bright blue, our first son has his bright blue eyes and so far our second has my grey but we won't know for sure for a few months. With us having both blue there's a 99% chance his stay blue and 1% they go green

My daughters eyes are look that color sometimes and her are blue. She’s 5 months so they still may change but we both have blue eyes in our families. If you have blue eyes somewhere In your lineage it’s possible for her eyes to stay blue 😊

Scientifically can take up to 3 years for a baby's eye color to adjust and then it might continue to change throughout the remainder of their life.
Fun fact: the darkening and lightening of the iris is caused by sunlight exposure, so depending on how much direct sunlight your child has will affect how rapidly their eyes change color. At least, that is what my optometrist told me.

Yes so babies eyes start this way and slowly change over time. They won't get to their color until about 12-18 months. As for genetics, it's hard to predict, my husband has blue eyes and I have brown eyes and our kids ended up with green eyes so you can't really predict this. I do know they don't stay this color, they'll lighten or darken as time goes by.
They will probably be brown my eyes were grey when I was born & they are now like a honey brown
That’s a normal eye color for babies to be born with.. it can take a few months to a year to settle. My niece’s are still changing and she’s 4 lol
