Sounds like witching hour xx
What kind of time?
@Anima she is 2 months and 6 days!
@Harriet is there anything I can do to change this?
Firstly it’s bloody horrible and I feel for you, but know it does pass. It could be ‘colic’ which is an awful thing to label it as as really theres nothing to-do until it goes away. My baby screamed for hours every night for 10 weeks. We tried colief and infacol, infacol definitely helped her pass wind easier but they call it 12 month colic sometimes and she did stop bang on week 12. Sorry it could be a long while for you, but sending love and just accept help if anyones offering. Good luck x
@Heather 10pm goes on until 12pm and then she finally falls asleep
@Claire thank you hun - we used to use Infacol however that gave her a runny poo so I was advised by doctors to stop giving it to her to see if it made a diff and it did no more runny poos. I will try using colief
My friend and I have seen progress after reading this book. Hope it helps! https://www.amazon.com/Happiest-Baby-Guide-Great-Sleep/dp/0062113321/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?adgrpid=129188764299&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Ie4LCra6pTT24-BFN35bEUuIX-BZZvLTzR7xwUSRnvZuVs3w00AceZa7FjN93V6AHEUV1V1U-qPF2AsO2ss4B86NNKsIDZPVE0UMNiviCt4G6tOWcVfwc5HwZL8AjxwlX78OJlYHvEaS7FcgZFroJoPrPEy4oo3t9dRlJD5-lV7fpbJcaE2p_gLcpC-kjo7OoxarvFCvMFIlXx1VIoCu6A.xMx1nhJ820djGCxbtv-fLI_zS0_pbqm86ojmlYT2Qz4&dib_tag=se&hvadid=678685899031&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=9004401&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=4695290891514442623&hvtargid=kwd-308910180153&hydadcr=28758_14754614&keywords=happiest+baby+guide+to+great+sleep&qid=1709139908&s=books&sr=1-1
My little boy was exactly the same. It was so tough but I promise it does pass! Have you tried popping some probiotic drops in her milk? I got some highly rated ones from Boots/Amazon and it seemed to help. Lots of love!
It’s gonna get better after 3 month! That’s all I needed to know when my baby was doing the same ❤️
I’m not sure if your country has this, I’m from the USA. I give my daughter mylicon and/or gripe water. The best way for the Mylicon is to give it at least 20 minutes before a feed. It will help relax her digestive system. Gripe water helps with colic, hiccups, fussiness, and gas.
Definitely sounds like witching hour. Mine was the same. He's actually been settling himself down earlier in the night, falling asleep earlier, but he's started fussing again recently and not settling till around 11pm. I'm thinking it's sleep regression.
@Harriet i remember ours, it was between 17:00-20:00, for around2 months. I nearly lost my sanity. Nothing helped but going outside with her in a carrier.
My baby was the same at that age until we moved her bed time to earlier and now she’s fine. She used to go to bed at 9/10 now it’s 7 x

Witching hour in babies typically starts around 2 weeks old and peaks around 2 months and I’d assume that’s what’s going on especially since it’s at the same time. That’s how my son was and there really wasn’t anything we could do about it unfortunately
Witching hour it should pass We had the same for a couple of weeks or loneher than it stopped
My baby was the same at that age. It was 100% the worst phase for us but I promise you it will get better. We used to give baby an evening bath and that would sometimes help calm him down and continue gentle massages. My mum kept reminding me that the first 3 months babies can cry and cry and at the time I felt like it would never get better but it really was a big change in him when he ticked over to 3 months! Hang in there mama you’re doing great. Definitely try the gas relief drops etc. but in my experience we tried every single brand and nothing helped it was sadly just a phase x
Was the same, except 4-6pm. I knew the time without needing to look at a clock!
Witching hour 100%
Has it started now? Or been going on for a while?
Hi, yes we experienced this with our LO. It sounds like colic. It was really challenging but it did pass eventually. Babies typically begin to cry less each week after around 8 weeks of age so hopefully this will pass for you too soon. We found the sling, motion, (particularly standing up and pacing around the house &/ rocking) nursing, skin to skin and a dummy helped soothe and comfort him x
Sounds like the dreaded witching hour Unfortunately not much you can do Mine free out of it at about 3.5 months Could also b collic The dancing fruit helped us xx
Thank you ladies for the advise ❤️
I would maybe try a calming bath, low light, some candles, lavender essential oil in the bath to calm them down before bed. Then put some bedtime lotion on them with some soothing music. Walk them around in a dark room. Hum to them. Sometimes switching up your routine helps a little and gives the baby a new routine as well. Hope this helps
You also could go on a night time walk, just up and down your street to give baby a new visual and maybe see if different scenery sets a new tone for the night time routine you guys have
Try it foot 🦶 massage I hope will work 🤞🏻
Gripe water has worked wonders for us!!
My girly was sooooo colicky you can try a warm bath gas drops and this saved my sanity but Frida baby has a burping cloth you can warm in the microwave and sling over your shoulder while you burp or rock
Sorry you're going through this! I thought walking helped to keep me calm and sometimes seemed to calm baby. Warm baths helped too I think.
It could be a sleep regression. How old is the baby?
