Clinging

I know it’s normal for toddlers to be clingy to a parent. But I cannot move from my 2 year old without her yelling and crying for me. She won’t nap/sleep. I can’t leave the room. I can’t even leave her side. It breaks my heart when I have to do something and all I hear is her crying for mommy😩

I’m with you mama! It’s these damn picses babies!!😮‍💨 I bring my daughter to programs and she chooses to sit with me the whole time, while it seems like all the other kids her age are running around and playing with eachother.. won’t independent play and screams at my legs all day. She is so attached and it’s exhausting. I remind myself everyday that I know I will miss it once this stage is over. Hang in there, you’re not alone 🩷

Is she your first? My first has always been like that, and she still is! Her imaginative play has really helped her play independently, but she wants mamma to do everything forever and always. My second, however, who was the most chill boy ever until one month ago is now beyond clingy. Whines anytime he's not in your arms. Is it an age thing?
