My little boy doesn’t smile at me anymore

Hoping someone can shed some light. I have a 4 month old boy who is honestly my entire world. Since he started smiling he’s always been quite smiley and laugh at me. However the last week or so, it seems he smiles and laughs at everyone but me, especially his dad which I love. But my husband doesn’t have to even do or say anything to our little one and he will be smiling and laughing but me, I can’t even get him to look at me these days and it’s honestly breaking my heart. I feel like he doesn’t love me, doesn’t find me fun enough etc. he hardly makes any eye contact with me anymore and I don’t know if I’ve done something wrong or what! Please tell me this gets better😭

Mama he loves you! He’s just learning to share that love and laughter with others, it’s part of his interacting milestones! 💕🤗 my son is this way with me too at times and I get so heartbroken. But dont worry mom he’s learning to express himself 💕

My little boy is the same at the moment, I have to really work for any smiles and laughs at the moment, and even then they're not guaranteed, but his dad and (especially) grandad get them all the time. Definitely a little heartbreaking at times, especially since he's teething and doesn't have a large happy window at the moment but he also doesn't settle well for dad when I'm out of the room either which hurts dad a little too 😅

Your baby definitely loves you! Just remember that babies see their mothers as an extension of themselves until around 7 months. He sees you and him as one! So, other people seem different and fun. I know it's easy to feel down about it (I felt it too!), but in reality it's a really good thing! He NEEDS you, others are just fun and games.
