Hi Sharon, thanks for this... yes it is short protocol they have me on but because I have had OHSS in previous cycles they will only trigger me with Buserelin now... so I cannot start the cycle without the Buserelin for the trigger shot... 😭

@Susan Oh, I see, it’s for the trigger. My only advice is to try ringing around - try Asda, Boots, Stork etc.

Hi @Susan my clinic changed this med for Decapeptyl which does the same. Can you ask for an alternative? My first cycle was with buserelin and the last two with Decapeptyl due to the shortage. And all good! Assuming this is for the trigger? I had two triggers, this and Ovitell.

Thanks @Ester I have tried to ask for an alternative but they are adamant it needs to be Buserelin and are just point blank refusing to entertain any other protocol because of my history... I will ask about the Decapeptyl though so thank you for that 🙏

Does your clinic / other local clinics hold any stock for emergencies? Many will keep a small quantity of things in for emergency use - might be worth a shot. I hope you find some ✨

This seems to have been an issue for a little while now so your clinic should be well aware and being proactive in helping you with an alternative. I was given Decapeptyl too like others. Best of luck x

I had a shot of Prostap instead, my consultant had mentioned the shortage and when I went in for my treatment plan they'd changed it to this. It's one shot only, intramuscular, and it covers you for 28 days. It's absurd that your clinic won't be flexible with alternatives when there's been a 2 year shortage! Good luck!

@Michelle I know it is absurd... I am now trying to see if I can find it in Europe to fly over and get it. They are adamant that without it my egg quality will be lower as my body needs the LH due to my age and history of OHSS (producing too many eggs of crappy quality). I'm kind of torn about the whole thing... i.e. go to a new clinic who will give an alternative and crack on... vs listen to them, try and find it hoping that they are right....

@vit, thanks for your message... unfortunately I need it for the trigger shot, not for down reg so Prostap isn't an option... 😢

Hi @Susan did you manage to find Buserelin/suprecur anywhere? I also need 1ml for trigger! Downloaded and joined the app just to try and find out if you managed to find any! 😅
