Food

My girlie used to eat anything I’d put in front of her. No issue. But about 6 months ago, she barely eats anything. She’s 2 now. Even the foods she will eat, she eats very little of. A few bites at best. Won’t even touch most food. Just screams and throws the bowl. I’m seriously worried she’s not getting enough during the day.

I think at this age it's normal to go through some pickiness. My daughter has recently started this too. She doesn't go as far as to throw the bowl/food, but she'll sometimes outright refuse everything, and other times have a few bites. It is frustrating though! If it's just a few weeks I don't think it's too concerning. Maybe also pay attention to what settings she eats best or worst. My daughter for example eats the worst when there's a lot of interesting stuff going on (such as when we are invited somewhere). I also try to make sure snacks aren't too close to mealtimes. I feel ya though!

@Melanie she’s been doing this for about 6 months now. She won’t even eat snacks, let alone meals. She tells me she’s hungry but she won’t eat anything.

Oh I'm sorry! I missed that you said it's been 6 months. That is quite a long time, especially if she's refusing snacks too. Have you talked to her doctor? Maybe they can get her into seeing a feeding specialist. Has she ever had issues with reflux? Or choked on food (not just gagged)? Some kids will avoid eating if they've had some sort of trauma revolving food. I'm sorry, I know it's stressful!

@Melanie no. She’s never really had any issues. Out if no where she just stopped eating much at all

Well I'm glad that she hasn't had those concerns, but yeah, it does make me wonder why it happened suddenly and for such a long amount of time. I wish I could help more, but I'm not sure what to recommend other than talking to a doctor. Good luck! I hope you find a solution soon!
