@Brittany he is not his Ped recommended but told me that he wasn’t sooooo far behind to where he felt he NEEDED it
My son is 4 in June same situation
@Shay Gotcha. My son is speech delayed too and it can be very frustrating for everyone. One thing that really helped us was narrating. Narrate everything you're doing "I'm getting you some milk" "good job, you threw the ball!" You can also kind of force him into having to ask for what he wants. If his cup is empty instead of just filling it, wait. Eventually he'll realize he's not going to get more until he makes it happen. If he doesn't have to talk, he won't. If that makes sense.
@Brittany I’m not sure if it’s like he doesn’t know how or he only talks when he’s forced to because he will get his point across if it’s something he really really really wants but when I try to teach him anything he refuses to like listen and learn and pay attention
My son will also be 4 in June, he developed a lisp after he ended up getting caps put it. Just try to stay calm because if you get frustrated he will also get frustrated. And get him little learning books to help with speech
Is he in speech therapy ?
