@Lauren hi lauren, sorry to hear your not keeping to good. I kno how u feel i was exactly the same as you. How many weeks are you? I was like this from day one till now, its only been a week ago i started to feel like myself again. Im now 20 wks, its been a right struggle for me i didnt think i could go on anymore. Anti sick tablets didnt work, try ginger tea and ginger biscuits they helped me . Its draining and exhausting isnt it. I had bad hyperemesis gravidarum, google that u may have the same , thats bad severe sickness , luckily i held back with goin to hosp on a drink i forced myself to drink water an milk an fluids even tho it didnt stay down tryed my hardest to still eat an drink. Hope u feel better soon hun xxxx

@Charlene I'm 7 weeks it's gotten to the point where I can't even keep water down. I've tried everything and nothing is working I don't think I can do this until 20 weeks :( xxxxx

Bless ya , know how u feel hun. Day everyday how it comes , u may feel ok tomorrow, but if ur anywhere bad as i was then most likely not. Have u spoken to ur midwife have u got one yet? Try ginger biscuit. I couldnt get out of bed i needed pjs bed and sick bucket i cryed as i felt so weak to my lowest , i got a job jus before i did a pregnancy test abou 2 weeks later waitin for my paperwork to come back i had to give my notice in i was that bad . I still vomit now but its nowhere as bad as i was. It should start calming down within 18/19 weeks hun. Feel for u , if u need to talk anytime im here , have u got family around u and partner? Xxxx

Also is this your first ? Xxx

@Charlene yes this is my first I have my partner supporting me but I feel as though he thinks it's not as extreme as I am making our. I was admitted to hospital yesterday they gave me a bag of fluids and sent me on my way. I at half a cracker and threw up instantly I have tried ginger biscuits however I'm just throwing them back up :( xxxxx

Speak to your GP and get some medication - you don’t need to suffer like this until 20 weeks, sickness like this isn’t the norm! They might offer you first line options at first which might not work, but after a couple of days go back and ask for something else until you find something that works. For me I would have small bites of rich tea biscuits throughout the day which would sometimes help to delay throwing up if I had to drive somewhere or something. Very small sips is your best bet for keeping fluids down, and sugary fluids helped me the most xx

@Lauren bless ya , this is my 3rd , i was sick an heartburn with my other 2 but nowhere bad how iv been with this one 😔. Im glad to hear ur parter is surporting you, yes men dont realise how hard us women get carrying a baby. Bless ya was u dehydrated? Yes sounds about right cracker will come back up just think ur only being lik this because ur pregnant, it will stop eventually but when eh!! Yes i puked ginger biscuits up first time but later on after few wks they settled an helped. If bad sickness soft foods probably better for now like soup xxx

@Darcy hi was you bad like us with your pregnancy? What helped for you? Apart from rich teas? Iv spoken to my gp they gave me sick tablets sadly they didnt help at all, was on different ones. Midwife saw how stressed i was as i couldnt handle from mornin all way to the nex day and so on… like this she advised me to go hosp if carrys on they put me on drip but i tryed to fight it but she did say u will probably one of the unlucky ones an will have it bad till it eases so yeh now im 20 wks its jus startin to calm down. Xx

Speak to your GP, I was dignosed with HG early on and now on two types of sickness tablets that have stopped me throwing up! Nausea still there but completely manageable, I'm now 22 weeks. There is a few different tablets to try but keep on at your GP until you find one that works.

Aww bless you . I totally understand what you’re going through. I had HG so I was constantly admitted into hospital. I could not eat properly until I was 7months so I had to go on milkshakes which I was given by my dietrican to gain some weight as I was loosing a lot of weight.the only anti sickness that helped me was ondanceston which I was only allowed to take after I was 12weeks.

@Charlene I was, in fact I am 20 weeks now and have thrown up so badly today that I’ve burst blood vessels all over my face! But I’m not sick very often anymore and I dont have the constant severe nausea anymore which was the most debilitating part for me. I never actually had medication but next time I 100% will go for medication from the beginning as I’ve spoke to so many people who found tablets that worked wonders for them. Nothing else really worked for me, I hardly moved out of bed until 16 weeks and was literally just in survival mode trying to get through every day, rich tea biscuits were the only food I could keep down if I had like 2 biscuits every couple of hours - I really struggled with getting fluids too as drinking anything made me heave so I would force myself to have the tiniest sips of juice or ice lollies. There’s nothing that really helps though other than time and rest - it doesn’t last forever and thankfully my baby is healthy despite the awful start we had!

You might have HG. It’s very important that you get medicated. I found ondansetron (Zofran) very good, some people require a combination of medications and still need IV fluids as well. It’s so awful and miserable and debilitating, and people with regular morning sickness simply do not understand what HG is like. I couldn’t leave the house, couldn’t work, and couldn’t eat or drink. I lost so much weight. Sending you so much strength and love ❤️

Just a quick update! I got given some medication had a nap and feel much better I've managed to eat and keep it down thank you for all your support!
