???

I know this is a weird question but how do you know if you’re suffering from PPD?

Having several of these symptoms means you should talk to a provider. Feeling sad or having a depressed mood Loss of interest or pleasure in activities once enjoyed Changes in appetite Trouble sleeping or sleeping too much Loss of energy or increased fatigue Increase in purposeless physical activity (e.g., inability to still still, pacing, handwringing) or slowed movements or speech [these actions must be severe enough to be observable by others] Feeling worthless or guilty Difficulty thinking, concentrating, or making decisions Thoughts of death or suicide Crying for “no reason” Lack of interest in the baby, not feeling bonded to the baby, or feeling very anxious about/around the baby Feelings of being a bad mother Fear of harming the baby or oneself

Thank you

Not a weird question at all. I didn't even know I had PPD until years later, when reflected on that time, and my behavior. I was like I definitely wasn't quite right. 😕

Oh wow @Sadé idk if I’m having ppd, I’m lonely and depressed i have a 10 month old and I’m currently 21 pregnant this pregnancy is really getting to me I’m just not feeling this pregnancy. It’s like I’m ok one day then the next I’m not

After reading that list I realize I had PPD and didn't even know. 😵‍💫

@Seanna It's interesting how you can see it after the fact. I went to the military when my oldest was 5 months old. I was a disaster! I didn't even consider PPD, but now, looking back, I was suffering.

Your insurance usually covers talk therapy ask your doctor to refer you. It’s such a breath of fresh air to just find a therapist who lets you talk and listens. I started during pregnancy and I’m so glad bc it was so tough. If you don’t have access to that this app seems to have such good resources and people to talk. Talking is so helpful

I didn't know until my health visitor told me how I was feeling wasn't necessarily normal and we're signs of ppd
