Helping baby poo

Hi all, has anyone tried giving their baby infacol to help with constipation? We have no issues burping and she does fart alot but poos are maybe twice a week now and always end up being massive explosions. She also doesn't poo without our help, so we have to do exercises, maybe feed her a ready made formula bottle a day, she used to take an oz of water but has stopped taking to it. Went to the drs and they said because she has plenty of wet nappies and is gaining weight ok they aren't worried (unless she goes over a week with no poo)

Following I'm experiencing exactly the same thing with my LG....she keeps straining like she wants to poo but nothing comes out....she goes 4-5 days with no poo and it's not comfortable for her. We have been giving her lactulose (prescribed by the gp), it only makes her fart more. I really wish there's more I can do to help her.

I haven’t given my little boy infacol to help him poo, but I do find that when he has it to help with his burps that he doesn’t poo more frequently.

My 1 month old goes 3 days with no poo then has explosive one as well where it gets through the nappy and on his clothes, I gave him infacol and mentioned it to the health visitor before and she said infacol does not help with constipation, only the wind. I switched to kendamil formula from aptamil as I heard aptamil can make the little one constipated, so far no change, he still has poos every 2-3 days but I’m giving time as I switched formula very recently (not even a week yet)

So unfortunately, I don’t think infacol is gonna help, my little one does pass wind a lot but unfortunately same with the poos… I don’t know what else to suggest but I heard gripe water I believe is good? I haven’t tried giving it myself

Thanks everyone. She isn't uncomfortable, does strain a little some mornings but then does a big fart and smiles herself back to sleep lol. Just annoying as she would be slightly unsettled maybe day 3 or 4 of no poo, then has the explosion and then is great the next 3 days. Haven't tried gripe water either but might give it a go.

I bought kendamil comfort for my daughter and it has helped her alot less pain and can do her poo, she does it every other day now x

My daughter is the same mainly breast fed she has one bottle of formula a day so swapped it to comfort milk and we use gripe water it helped her go from 7 days between to 5days between gp says its normal and to just keep an eye it doesn't go back to longer or no swollen hard stomach
