Age of Baby

According to LMP, I should be in my 8th week. I don't have my first appointment with my OBGYN until next week, but I went to a private ultrasound place yesterday and she said baby looks 7 weeks, maybe 6 because baby looks small, but we did see the hearbeat flicker. I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else and baby was fine? My cycles became longer then usual before getting pregnant and I am thinking that maybe I ovulated later and conceived later than I thought? Any similiar experiences? This pregnancy is just so different from my 1st. With my 1st, I found out BFP at 3 weeks ( before my missed period). This one so much later and it was a light positive, but maybe I tested earlier than I thought? Please ease my mind. Thank you! Husband says I am overthinking it and to trust the process like last time.. I don't know why I am having a hard time believing my baby is there and healthy this time around.

I had an ultrasound at the ER due to pain I was having in my side. I was 6W4D but one baby was measuring 6 weeks exactly and the other was only measuring 5W2D. When I went to the doctor at 8W4D, both babies were measuring 8W3D. I was nervous at first too, but my doctor eased my mind a lot! I would just try to keep calm and wait on your actual OB appointment 🫶🏾❤️

Yes I thought I was 6+3 but ultrasound measured 5+4. My cycles had been closer to 40 days so she said it's likely I just ovulated later. If you saw a heartbeat that's a really good sign baby is healthy and growing. Sometimes dates don't line up perfectly and that's why they do an ultrasound in the first trimester.

This is very common apps can’t track if you ovulated late this cycle so they aren’t 100%. Always go with the scan dates but obviously I mean the ones from your ob. With a history of lengthening cycles I would bet you are a little behind the app. Seeing a heartbeat is good!

My first child was almost 3 weeks off from LMP! I have a longer cycle and I ovulated late sooo yeah! He’s a super health 2.5 year old now!
