Disheartened

Sorry ladies I just need somewhere that's a safe place just to write this down. I hope this is okay... Feeling quite disheartened tbh. I get married this year, and trying to plan a hen do of sorts. I'm not a girly person, so I'm keeping it very low key, a nice daytime thing. I've said to my bridesmaids what I'd like/where I'd like to go (if it suits them too), and they've all said yes, which is great. But that's it. Noone has taken the initiatives to book anything for us all .. so I've had to offer to do it, they said yes. So now I'm having to ask them to transfer me money so I can book my own hen do... I've been maid of honour to one of my bridesmaids before, and I remember booking almost everything for everyone. But now it's my turn to get married, I'm still the one doing everything 😞. I dunno, third world problems and all, but I do feel quite down about it...

You have every right to feel that way, it's an exciting time and you expect them to be as excited to celebrate this special time and plan the hen do etc. Maybe you could be a little more direct and whoever the maid of honour is say that it's her responsibility to plan it.

Hey… I would just nominate someone to be in charge, for me I just says to my sister in law can you arrange my hen do for me.xx

Bless you! You have every right to feel like this, you should be treat like a queen 👸🏽! I’d just just message your girls and say that even though you had some ideas you’d really like them to book so it was a little more of a surprise for you, give them the opportunity to step up…. Fingers crossed they do xx

Thank you all for your replies ♥️ I will try send a polite message in our group chat (I say group chat, there's only 4 of us), and see if anyone else can at least make the lunch booking. I've already committed to making the main spa booking as I've given my bank details.
