How to deal/soothe worried and anxious husband ?

Of course we’re both happy that I’m pregnant but I feel like currently my husband is extremely overwhelmed —- he’s extremely scared , worried and anxious and even a little depressed . What’s some things I can say to him to make him feel better ?

It really helped my husband to read a book about what my body was going through. Or an audiobook if he responds better that way. later on in pregnancy the childbirth class brought a lot of peace and comfort for him to know what was going to happen

Do you know what he's specifically anxious/worried/depressed about? The pregnancy? Birth? How life is going to change? I would start there because you would address it differently depending on what his specific concerns are.

Do you know of any men that have recently become dads, my partner found speaking to other dads was helpful. Even now he has friends becoming dads and the first thing he says is be open minded & make sure your in that delivery room as it's one of the best things you'll ever do. I had a vaginal Forceps delivery and my partner unintentionally sore everything, and I mean everything 🙈😂 and he still says it's the best thing he ever did! If I was you ide ask him about his fears, get him to ask questions at your midwife appointments and get him involved as much as possible. My partner was at every appointment and I said to him to ask anything he wants as yes he's experiencing the same thing but from a different perspective. Before hand my partner used to find just words cringe regarding pregnancy things now he tells everyone the ins and outs of our labour 😂😂 xx

I always react to those kind of situations by going over board on the education. Whattoexpect.com is a great resource that I enjoy reading the weekly updates to my hubby so he knows what is going on with baby.
