Definitely some lucozade sport raspberries! And then the nosiest snacks possible purely because me and the baby’s father split in January and he hates loud eating 🤣

Protein bar and dates

I took Lucozade sport. I was only allowed to drink that or water during labour and for a little while after due to c section. For snacks I took digestive biscuits and protein bars, just make sure to check sugar contents. In the end I didn't eat them during labour because I was constantly offered food at the hospital, but they were great for afterwards and when I got home. Make sure to pack snacks for your birth partner because you will be offered food while they will not and my partner was really hungry even though I did pack him some snacks. He didn't want to go down to the hospital cafe either in case something happened. Ideally put together and take a sandwich/packed lunch or something for them.

Snickers was my biggest craving 😂 I also packed cookies, protein bars, crisps and few drinks. You can really get hungry in between hospital meals and the foods not that nice 🥴

I genuinely ate nothing apart from quavers and drank lucozade sport raspberry😂 It’s so mad how addictive it is in labour

I had so much food and ate pretty much nothing. They were handy for afterwards when I was starving.
Tiny things I would say. I had blueberries and bits of flap Jack. Lots of water or drink that you like

I was thankful for my snacks after the hospital Cafe closed. But definitely didn't eat a whole lot. I was STARVING for like 3 days after giving birth because my stomach could actually hold food again. I packed a lot of cereal lol

I took brownies, crisps & pineapple and then just water really but did take a few capri suns as they were my craving 🤣 wasn’t allowed anything but water after having an epidural though and honestly after the toast and tea they give you is spot on 👌🏼 stayed for one more meal after that which they provided and I was home so didn’t need loads.

I had crisps, lots of biscuits and water. Wasn’t expecting to stay for three days. Luckily my mum brought extra snacks and meals each day. Three meals a day while breastfeeding was not sustaining me in the slightest 😂😂

Honey sticks saved me! I don't usually like straight honey but I had probably 20 during labor lol my doula brought them and I will make sure I always have them now lol

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

Homebirth?

I am thinking I want a homebirth (second baby) for a few different reasons but my husband is very against it, he is worried about things going wrong and we are a 30 minute drive from the hospital. Has anyone been in a similar position and what did you end up doing? Any advice? 🙏

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
