My dermatologist recommended against using it. My son's eczema has required steroid oil when he breaks out and a prescription cream for daily use but the cream has been soo good at keeping flare ups infrequent
I used the all over ointment ( AOO) . It did help to control the eczema in my baby’s body . I use it when she was 3/4 months specially in her face she had red patches. I’m still using it because when I stop using it the red rashes is back on her face. Since, this cream contain oatmeal it is not recommended for all skin types some babies skin are sensitive to oat meal.
Eczema has been a BEAST for us and we finally found Aveeno ezcema relief and it worked so well, that and diaper rash cream weirdly enough
@Rebekah my doctor recommended bathing less often, causes the skin to dry out more
@Kaylie yeah it's weird cause the dermatologist recommended I bathe my daughter everyday and she has very sensitive skin and eczema. It's been working well for us so far. I also use a cool mist humidifier in the room we sleep in
I used the whole sets for her and it made it worse
@Rebekah diddo on the humidifier, but yeah my boy doesn’t get nearly the amount of baths he should😅 which is sad because it was our (mine and my husband ) favorite thing to do with him haha
I tried a eucerin baby ecazma relief it helped but my daughters wasn’t too severe
@Bethsy same here for my daughter
We hated tubby Todd. It was so sticky and didn’t do anything. We switched to Bubbsi and finally are seeing results.
AP lipikar cream from la roche posay! My daughter had moderate to severe eczema and it helped. My current babe uses it along with eucrisa to help his skin
@Rebekah yes our derm also told us to bathe every day. all the other eczema creams she gave us as samples to try were all colloidal oatmeal just like the tubby todd. it seems to be helping. except for his face. it just keeps coming back and everything i try does nothing.
@Maria this is where we are at with the steroid cream being the only thing that makes it go away, except none of the medicine creams afterwards prevent it from coming back 😩 i have no idea what to do
@Daniella Have you tried Epiceram? That's the prescription cream we use daily. It's nonsteriodal and is supposed to help build the skin barrier so it doesn't as easily get irritated. Before the dermatologist told me about it we had to do a week off an week on of the steroid oil. Now we can use the steroid much less often

@Maria no but i will try to ask the derm about it! thank you!! we started with eucrisa and it came right back in a week
For my daughter, it made her skin worse and peel. I would just use vaseline and then book your child a dermatologist appointment asap. But until your appointment, you should give your child a bath everyday in cool water with dove unscented bar soap. Then put vaseline all over their body, and make sure their nails are trimmed and filed short so they can't scratch too much. Good luck!
