@Shilpa I hadn't thought of that. How does it help? My partner is doing the injections and he's going really slowly but maybe the pen goes more smoothly?
@Vit My husband did it manually for me at first and it was still painful no matter how strategically it was done. The auto injector was a God send for me. Here is the link to the one I got: https://unionmedico.com/90-super-grip/ You don't need their needles that this company sends. You just fix your progesterone shot, fix it to the auto injector, choose your spot and click it. You will feel a prick. For me, it was definitely less painful. I used a heating pad before the shot, and once the shot is done, rub the spot for a few minutes and then place heating pad again. Happy to answer if you have any questions 😊
Try warming the vial up for a few minutes by popping it in your bra or leaving it on a heat pad. Once it’s nice and liquid, it should just glide in. You can then apply the heat pad to your tummy to avoid lumps.
@Vit so I did my own lubion injections and it’s a thick substance so does take a while to go in/ your partner won’t be injecting slowly in purpose. Like others have said you could try warming up the vial prior to injecting or try an auto injector. I kinda just sucked it up but don’t know if that was the best plan 😫😅
@Kirsty I'm definitely going to try warming it up first, then the auto injector can be next attempt. I didn't have any issue with the stims, didn't even bruise, but Lubion is really hurting
@Vit I didn’t do stims as I’m using my partners eggs so unfortunately have nothing to compare to other than buserelin. What I would say is it’s progesterone in oil so thicker and because of this can leave the lumps under the skin for a while and some bruising. Definitely hurts more than a thinner substance! Good luck with everything!
@Kirsty 100%! My partner says that he need to push harder too, it's definitely the consistency! Thanks and best of luck to you 2, too!!
One thing I found with Lubion is that the needles I got from the clinic were tiny, which made it harder to push all the fluid out. Whereas when I got needles from Stork, they appeared to be a little bigger and much easier to use. They were still pretty small though, I barely felt them going in.
Lubion and clexane user here .. i m doing them since february. At first anyone else but me was doing it, but i became a pro now. The only problem i have now is that my doctor suggested to do them on the sides of the belly button , and my skin got so hard that today i tried 2 times to press the needle in and it didnt work. I had to ask my sister to do it for me. I also have lumps and sometimes it hurts more , but i still need to do 1 clexane and 2 lubion per day for another at least 4,5 weeks. How you guys do it? I feel like my body cant take it anymore.
Have you tried an auto injector? It really helped me with my progesterone shots.
