Has anyone attended a festival in later pregnancy and how was it?

I’ve just found out I’m in early pregnancy, I had plans to go to Reading Festival this year to watch Blink 182 but will now be 6 months pregnant at the time. Anyone have any tips or can share any experience? I feel like I could stand further back and enjoy it where the crowds are lighter, I’m just worried about the general rowdiness on the day and how I’ll cope with all the walking and standing around.

I’m going to a concert end of this month and will be nearly 20 weeks I’m wondering the same thing but maybe with your festival you could try avoid really crowded areas, drink loads and give yourself more time in the day so that you’re not rushing around. Because yours is outside could you not take a camping chair or something or find somewhere there to sit down for a bit when you need to?

You will be fine :) I did slamdunk at 30 weeks and def leppard at 32 weeks ! Slamdunk allowed me to take a chair in and use the disabled toilets and areas etc. def leppard I didn’t make any special arrangements but I was knackered after motley crue and spoke to a steward to see if I could use an empty seat for a bit and we were allowed to stay the entire show :) just make sure you have comfortable shoes and plenty of room around you 😀

I went to Arc Tangent last year when I was about 7 months pregnant and had an awesome time 😃 I found it really helped to bring a camping chair and sit whenever I needed to (my partner brought one too so we watched most bands chilled in our chairs together at the back). We also brought loads of snacks in with us and tried not to overdo how many bands we saw - if I was super keen for a headliner then we’d take it easy earlier in the day and not worry about missing out on some stuff. People were really lovely there about making sure not to bump into me and even ushering me to the front in the queue for the loos! That’s the other thing, expect to need lots of bathroom breaks! But yeah honestly don’t worry about coping, just plan a more chilled festival and enjoy yourself 💚

I was 6 months when I went to Download last year. I took in a camping chair and ended up sitting towards the back with hubby. Baby became more active when Pendulum were on stage and had his own rave 😂 Allow for rest and take in plenty of fluids/snacks. And pace yourself between acts

Not a festival, but I went to a few concerts when I was pregnant with my 1st the smallest venue I went to was latest in the pregnancy, and when I thought it was getting a bit "rioty" (for lack of a better word) in the room, I stepped out and gave it a few minutes until I felt comfortable I wouldn't get knocked about... Legs got super tired at the end, so definitely think about taking a camping chair, but I think if you stay aware of your surroundings and do what you think is safe, you should be good 😊

I went to Reading Festival for the day when I was 4/5 months pregnant, took a camping chair and was very comfy sitting wherever and whenever I wanted, definitely do it 👍😊
