Has anyone gotten preclampsia after birth?

This is my second time getting it. (Had it with both my sons). Anyways... 2 weeks after being on meds( procardia) they took me off because my blood pressure went back to normal but out of no where a week later it spiked. I almost went to the ER but my dr just told me to take the med she took me off and thankfully it helped but then it lowered it too much that I almost passed out.

Anyone have similar experience?

This sort if happened to me my bp started to lower after birth so they minimized my dose and i had to be hospitalized a second time for a week. my BP never returned to normal afterwards so im medicated.

Yes! With my second. She was born 2 weeks ago. I had perfect blood pressure the entire pregnancy and then it skyrocketed after she was born. I had to stay an extra night in the hospital and I’ve been on LABETALOL ever since. My blood pressure was normal at my check last Friday but they told me to stay on my med and I’ve felt pretty good.

Didn't realise you could get it after birth... I know it has to do with the placenta, I got it real bad while I was pregnant (first time mum) and had to be induced for baby and mine safety cause my BP just didn't want to level put or go down, was on like 3 diff meds for it while in hospital and left with about 8 meds in total when I could come home... It's super scary to go through though, chin up mummas you'll get through it! 😊

Did you take baby aspirin during your second pregnancy? I got preeclampsia about 3 days after giving birth to my first and was in the hospital for 10 days because of a decline in my kidney function. I fully recovered after around a month of taking labetalol. I’m currently pregnant with my second and taking baby aspirin to hopefully avoid that happening again. They say the later in your pregnancy you get the preeclampsia, the lower the risk of getting it in future pregnancies.

Confused Over Test Result

My heads pretty blagged about this atm. I’ve had spotting & some cramping but of the 2 tests I’d have expected the clear blue one to be most accurate. Any advice?

SPPH (secondary postpartum haemorrhage) due to retained placenta -D&C?

Looking to see if anyone else has experienced this? Currently trying to pass retained tissue ( 4 weeks pp) and finding every day so exhausting just constantly waiting and checking my bleeding. I stopped bleeding on week 2.5/3 then bleeding picked up last Saturday and I haemorrhaged on Thursday morning with a rush to hospital. Everyday since I’m waking up scared I’ll be bleeding out. Worried to go toilet to check, I’m not convinced I’ll be passing it naturally and I’m worried I’ll need a D&C… has anyone had this? My retained tissue is 2cm so they said it’s small but I have no signs of passing it or blood changing colour to show slowing down.

39 weeks pregnant FTM

39 weeks baby hasn’t come yet and I am just full of anxiety. I am trying to relax. I am trying to chill, but I can’t chill. I do not want to be induced. I would love to have her natural. Issue is I am tight down there and petite and baby is measuring big like the head especially. I know that measurements can be off. But I have photos! And she is a chunk. This is so unpredictable. How do I just put my faith forward and trust in God and how do I let go of this anxiety? I am doing fine and then boom it hits me and I want to ball my eyes out. I am trying to treat myself and do little things but driving or doing anything is so hard now and I’m so huge and uncomfortable …I’m at my breaking point 😭

Palpitations and out of breath

Anyone else dealing with heart palpitations and running out of breath super quickly?

I already spoke to my midwife, and they put me on magnesium and extra electrolytes and said if it doesn’t help, to tell them again. I have my next OB appointment on Tuesday and I plan on bringing it back up when I see her then, but I feel like my shortness of breath has just gotten increasingly worse and the dizziness is now off and on when I used to not get it before.

Anyone else has that experience?

I am 30 weeks on Wednesday (March 25) with a C-section scheduled for end of May.
