At 4 months with my first and at 6 months with my second! I recommend waiting till 6 months and starting slow!

their bodies aren't ready until at least 6 months

3.5 months. My daughter made it clear she was ready.

@rebeca why?? What difference did you see?? I recently started my LO at 5 montgs and a few days. The day before I actually gave him his first purée he was reaching and cry for daddies food so thats why I started early.

@Myah I mean every baby is different but nutritionally wise their main source of nutrients is formula or BM. I personally feel like it’s something more to worry about as in food prep and cleaning when it’s still not necessary. Also my daughter developed horrible eczema and I always wonder if maybe her tummy wasn’t ready at 4 months. I rather give their tummy enough time to develop and 6 months is the most recommended time.

Puree at 4 months old , then normal food (BLW) at 6 months old We had to start purées early under the dietician

Around 5 months

4m

5 and a half months for both my kiddos, but both kids were like 6 months adjusted since they were 10 and 14 days late. We were excited with my first so we started. My second my doctor told me I didn’t have to start solids until 6 months if he’s gaining weight well. I think new evidence suggests their digestive systems are developed enough at that age to process solids. But my second (boy) was reaching for food and always whined at meals trying to get ours and our toddlers so we started him. Only lasted a week with purée before he moved onto BLW because he enjoys it more

5 months

3 month

6 months

6 months- research has shown this allows enough time for babys digestive system to fully develop to be able to handle the foods and makes them less susceptible to digestive issues like diabetes, ceoliac disease and food allergies.

7 months. Took 2 to start eating more or less properly

4 months with my son but i regret it deeply. will be at least 6 months with my daughter

@Abby can I ask why you regret it?

@Bri i did my research afterwards about the health implications it can have and the real signs of readiness. i was pushed by family members to wean early and i gave in, which i shouldn’t have. i look back on videos and cringe because he was not ready at all. even though he seemed ready he was not. wish i would have done proper research first and waited.
