Routine

My baby boy has dropped to 2x naps a day now and is doing 1 hour 15 AM nap and 1 hour 15 for PM nap. When I’ve looked a sleep trainers they advise baby to only have 30/45min AM then big 2 hour sleep in the afternoon, why is this? Does it matter if my baby has 2 longer naps both 1 hour 15? Or should I shorten his first one and let him sleep longer in the afternoon? (I wake him from both naps)

It's just so they don't get overtired in the stretch from the 2nd nap to bedtime and I'd assume they'd wake earlier in the morning too

If it's working for you, don't mess with it. Babies aren't an exact science so if you've figured out what yours needs, I wouldn't change a thing.

Go by what’s best for you baby. They aren’t robots. We are all different xx

My lb will only sleep for 30 minutes in his cot or pushchair 😫 currently got him sleeping on me so he has enough to go through till bedtime and not be grumpy so I can at least cook dinner…..he’s grumpy and clingy the last week but we’re 12 days into leap 6…..just trying to go with it 👍🏻

My baby does 2 naps that are similar in length. Her morning nap is sometimes 2 hours even. She usually wakes from her last nap around 5.00 and bedtime is 8.30. It took her a while to get used to that long stretch before bed but she's fine with it now, if I can see she's getting overtired I sometimes put her down at 8 x

When my baby dropped to 2 naps we started with 2x longer naps like you. But I now do 1 30/45 min nap in the morning and a 2 hour at lunchtime and I have found she sleeps better at night so far 🙏🏻 however if it’s working for your baby no need to change it!

How is everyone even getting their baby to nap for 2 hours!!! 🙈🙈🙈🤷🏼‍♀️ he will do it …..if it’s on me 😂😂😂
