Has anyone birthed at Brooklyn Birthing Center?

How was your experience? Just found out I’m pregnant with my second and considering it for birth. Went to Katz for my first and had no complications at all except that they insisted on inducing me at 39 weeks because I had just turned 40. I was hoping to try a more natural birth this time but I will be 42 at the time of birth.

I live In NYC and Will not be giving birth here Bristol hospital Is the up most best hospital to give birth In

Is it covered by insurance or is it out of pocket payment

I’ve been present for a birth at BBC and it was so peaceful with really amazing midwives on staff I think the most difficult aspect I’ve heard from other mothers is their requirements for reserving the center for your birth Must meet health standards etc or can’t be too late in pregnancy when becoming a patient - I suggest maybe a tour for you and your partner along with sibling ✨ Congratulations and many blessings!

@Charlene most insurance providers baby!

I did most of my care there but I ended up giving birth at a hospital. The day I went in the labor there was no sense of urgency on their part. When they found out I went to the hospital they were kinda upset I didn’t go to the birthing center at first. If I did, I probably would’ve gave birth on the street. When I got to the hospital, I was already 10cm dilated

@Gianna interesting. They just kept telling you to keep laboring at home??

@cC pretty much. When I called them the first time, they told me to call them an hour later
