Cosleeping when baby crawls

My baby is basically crawling now, not very fast but getting therešŸ˜… her dad and I cosleep with her in the middle of us. How does cosleeping change once baby is crawling? Do they ever get up in the night and crawl off the bed?? My baby doesn’t really wake up and when she does she goes on the boob and back to sleep and I wake up instantly, before she really makes a sound, I just know. So I don’t think i’ll miss her crawling off the bed, but I want to be safe!

We co-sleep with our 9 month old who is crawling/standing up. We have never had an issue overnight with her crawling off the bed especially since she is in the middle of us both. I usually wake up if she is moving around too much, and what she tends to do it try and crawl over the top of one of us, rather than get out from under the blanket, turn around fully and go for the end of the bed haha I've heard of people putting their crawlers in a sleeping bag and having them on top of the blankets in bed so they roll from side to side in the middle of the parents but can't crawl.

When my little one started to move, we got a low lying bed with a protective mesh frame around it (play pen) to stop her from falling off. Ive looked online and you can get attachments to put around your bedframe to stop bubs from falling off. encouraged her to pull herself up and get her standing/walking pretty quickly.

@May I’ve been wondering about blankets bc obviously it’s not recommended for the safe sleep 7 but I’ve always felt comfortable using one. However, now that our baby is crawling/moving around the bed, the blankets worry me!
