I gave birth at McKay Dee, but have no idea what that plan is, here if you have questions for that place though

I originally used their plan and the nurses and staff completely disregarded it. No one asked, no one looked after we tried to share. It was ignored.

@Shyanne oh man, that sounds so awful, i'm really sorry...

@Abi if you ask them to give you information on birth plans and delivery options they should give you more info! but like Kay said it's a delivery plan with minimal intervention- no epidural, no IV, very hands off on the medical professionals' end. they require you to take a 6 week course with different classes to prepare for it so you go in educated and prepared

I gave birth a few weeks ago at this hospital Too bad I didn’t learn about the program early enough to take the classes I would recommend it if you are early enough in your pregnancy You will get the option for the rooms with the tub to labor in which can ease your labor pain also you have less medical intervention where you can walk more and do some exercise

I did the simply birth program at the hospital here in St. George, I had a good experience and went home the same day. I wanted to labor in the tub and was able to until it was time to push. I asked for intermittent monitoring and they allowed that. I had a birth plan that I had given to my dr ahead of time and provided it again when we arrived, I also had a doula who helped communicate my wishes when I was not able to because of labor. Happy to answer any questions.
