Tattoo and Breastfeeding
Can I get a tattoo while’s nursing…. I want to get my daughters’ name tattooed but not sure what the risks are … have any moms gotten tattoos while’s nursing and what was the outcome if any ?

Many tattoo artists will not tattoo you while you’re breastfeeding, or highly recommend against it! Would wait if you can
My tattoo artist said none when pregnant or breastfeeding, they won't do it because of risk of infection. Definitely wait, no tattoo is worth risking you or your baby getting sick
Agreed! My tattoo artist also gave the no during pregnancy and breastfeeding
I've been told by doctors and multiple people not to get tattoos while nursing because The risk is the same as getting a tattoo while pregnant, if it gets infected, it can affect your milk. I so badly want to get a tattoo but I decided to wait until after I'm done nursing due to this guidance. I have other tattoos and I've never had one get infected, but I'm personally not taking the rest while nursing.
