Baby refusing one breast and pulling faces like it tastes bad. What can I do? He definitely prefers one breast but now barely wants to feed off the other.

Anyone had this or can anyone help?

How old is your baby? My baby is doing the same and I am trying to figure out why!

Just went through this the past 3 weeks. My little guy was teething and did not want to work for the milk on my slacker side. Super frustrating. As of today, he started triggering let downs on it since he seemed to be nursing for comfort today and was patient enough to wait for the slow let down

My baby is 15 weeks and was doing this all last week on right boob.. now he's decided the left boob isn't nice 🙄 really hard to not take it personally 😅

Could be a number of things hun! For me personally, my little one goes through phases of preferring one breast over the other, or she’s got a bit of gas or burp stuck. I sit her up straight for a minute or 2, and then try again and then she’s fine again! Xxx

@Aashi he’s 15 weeks. He sucks and pulls a horrible face like it tastes bad 😩

@Katie yeah it’s my right boob too he ducks for a couple seconds. He might re latch again and few times but usually complains and pulls a face like it tastes bad. It’s not getting engorged or anything. He’s always prefers the right side as that’s the side I sleep on with him and I just latch him on one side in the night as I’m too lazy to keep turning over. I read online that you can successfully feed on one boob and the other one will still be triggered to make milk.

Try a chiropractor. Mine preferred one over the other until I took her to a chiropractor. Now she goes once a month and I think it's helped with other things like sleeping too.

@Katie I don't bf in bed very often but I can lay on my right side and feed with either boob, I just have to tilt round more. Have you tried feeding from the left whilst laying on your right side? It's not the most comfortable but maybe he will feed better again?

My baby did this for a little while too and only wanted my right side (i think because my left side wasn’t producing as much and I could tell, when I pump I never get as much as I do with the right side) but then since he was mostly eating from the right side I felt like it started producing more and started spraying him so then he only wanted the left side for a while and now he eats from both and he’s 19 weeks now!
