Tucson parks and rec has a class called Movers and Shakers which is fun and indoors, it's also reasonably priced. Splash pads and the park (when it's not too hot) are a good free activity. Radiant gymnastics does an open gym tot time Monday, Wednesday and Friday and it's only $5 (parents free)
Thank you for the recommendations! I'll look into those places (: @Kathryn I had the splash pads in mind for the less hotter days but it gets pretty hot here in Tucson during the summer time :/
It does get hot but we are still able to manage the splash pad through most of summer (I had a 6 month old and a 2 year old last summer) if we go to the shaded ones and go early. I like Udall because it's pretty good for little kids and has shade. However, I'm also a native Tucsonan so I may handle the heat better than some
Come to building blocks and/or playful milestones at Playformance! I’ve been an employee there for the past two years, and I absolutely love it. Building blocks is open family playtime in our indoor playground, and playful milestones is a parent-child class series focused on physical and emotional development. Both perfect for a 1 year old! Located downtown, and preregistration highly recommended. playformancetucson.com
