Prolapse questions have I got fear is unreal 💔

Hi everyone so I’m 5 months pp, I had a natural birth but ended up having the episiotomy, stitching and vaccum. I’ve had check ups recently as I had like light staining on my pants/pad which I got checked and they said no infection etc that was at 3 months pp Then about 3 weeks I had a check up from my midwife because they are fab by and I asked if I had a prolapse she said she didn’t think so and that she thought some kind of skin fybroid ♥️ I’m guessing like granulation. I’ve only tried to have sex once as it was too painful it also made me start my first period since have the baby so I think that’s why it hurt. I’ve had a look down there and I’ve notice my whole at the bottom is blocked well I say blocked I can a finger in etc 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️ so embarrassing…. Only way I can explain it is it’s not like one bulge but rather like a bunch of grapes. When Insert a finger it doesn’t go back in it stays outside at the bottom 😳 Is this granulation tissue or have a got a prolapse I’ve got symptoms of a prolapse apart from occasionally not being able to hold my wee but that’s my fault from holding it in so long 🤦🏼‍♀️ My bowel movements are fine ♥️ I have got photos but I appreciate not for the faint hearted so if it sound similar let me know and if is anyone is willing I can send 😬 Hate posting this but I’m sat here worrying if I can have more kids is that it for me 💔 Will I have problems getting pregnant Am I going to never have sex again Horrendous feeling

5 months is still early pp but whatever it is it’s causing you discomfort and pain and a lot of mental anguish. Get an appointment with your doctor to get examined (to ease to your worries if nothing else) and go from there. If they do tell you it’s a prolapse do NOT let them fob you off with sending you home to do kegels: insist on them referring you to a pelvic physio (in my practice it was referral to hospital gynae who could then refer on for physio but it’s probably different whichever nhs trust you come under). And if you’re not feeling confident take someone with you to help with the advocacy! In the meantime drinking plenty of water / getting fibre / earning healthy will all probably help if bowel movements are causing you pain. But getting it looked at properly and querying the bleeding / grapes / painful sex all sounds like will be good steps forwards. Hope you’re ok. It seems like there is no aftercare for episiotomies/ assisted deliveries. It’s pants. Sending strength! X

Thank you yes 100% I’ll get a referral got an appointment Monday I’m just so scared and when I google it it looks nothing like a prolapse ? I’ve had a look online and I think it could be scar tissue ! Surely a midwife would know 🤦🏼‍♀️

To me it sounds more like a prolapse , I’d get another opinion x

Could it be a "hymenal skin tag" (Google it)? But it could be a prolapse. Midwives actually have no knowledge or training about things like pelvic floor issues and prolapse, so you definitely want a second opinion.

It sounds like a prolapse and piles to me.. but it’s hard to know what you mean. Good luck for your appointment. Deffo push for all the help you can get. (My support midwife after having baby actually referred me to pelvic floor physio so check in with them) it may be quicker x
