Hip Pain 🥲

Does anyone have any advice or tips on how to ease hip pain while in bed??? My right hip mainly is KILLING ME. Obviously, constantly tossing and turning. 😢 I’ve tried the pregnancy pillow, normal pillows (big and small), a thermagun, etc.

What kinda mattress do you have? The right mattress is so important! Also yoga helps with pain relieve. Making sure you always sit in the right angle during the day, so the pressure didn’t already built up all day and then just hurts at night.

@Kia it’s one of those fancy mattresses that the top and bottom parts lift up/lay down. I’ve been adjusting it every once in a while in hopes of it helping as well. But as far as the feeling goes, it’s pretty firm. A little soft but not too bad.

@Kia I’ll definitely look into yoga as well, idk why I didn’t think about that. 😅

Me. It is mostly sciatica pain:’( I toss and turn all night. Sadly there happens to be no perfect solution other than trying out diff sleeping positions at night. Try sleeping with a pillow between your legs or under your legs at night. Hope it helps you more than it has helped me. Light at the end of tunnel - this pain apparently goes away after pregnancy on its own. So counting weeks!

@Esha im counting down too! 😅 unfortunately the pillow thing hasn’t done much for me either lol 4 more weeks 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Rotating like a rotisserie chicken is all i can do and the only advice i have 😅 But it will all ease once baby comes xx

Is it your outer/front of your hip or lower back part of your hip? I’ve had really bad hip pain in my lower back and the only thing that helped me was chiropractic care 🥲

@Jelena im not sure how to describe it except it feels like it’s my butt bone almost, or close to it😂

Yep that’s exactly where mine was/is 🥲 my chiropractor called is sciatic joint dysfunction and I basically go for an adjustment each week and that’s really helped

Osteopath. In the third trimester, I was seeing one every week. It helped with the pain, but it never fully went away, and always got worse a few days after the treatment. I don’t think there is much you can do about it to be honest.

The only way I could relieve my hip pain was by putting my leg over my partner (like spooning him with my leg over his side)😅. If you don't sleep next to anyone maybe wack a mountain of pillows and put your leg on it see if it helps x

I saw a chiropractor and this helped. As well as putting a couple of pillows between my knees. I noticed one wasn’t enough and my hip was still hurting

@Dee I do the same but my husband is a furnace and aggressively moves around in his sleep at all hours of the night 😂

@Madison oh no! It's the only thing that helped me, difficult to stack pillows in a bed as well with 2 people, doesn't leave much room. I hope someone can help x

@Dee I only have 4 weeks left so hopefully it’ll just fly by lol

I would go see a physio. I was diagnosed with something called GTPS, a few weeks ago, and have been given exercises that help ease it.

Chiropractor too! Been for only a few sessions once a week and feel so much better with hip and back pain

Webster certified chiropractor.

I second everyone who said chiropractor and physical therapy. Ideal is a combo of both. Don't suffer with it if you can find out what's wrong and treat it.

I just went to the dr for this and turns out I have arthritis in my hip.

I got a wheat bag that you put in the microwave to warm up and find putting that on my hip while I’m falling asleep really helps!
