To encourage or not?

My 6 month old has started going up to things (couches, tv unit, toy boxes, sides of his crib) and pulling himself up. I’m unsure whether to encourage it and his develop by holding him up because of course he isn’t strong enough yet to stand for any length of time at all, or whether to say no and redirect him. Both seem to have their pros and cons. Any advice appreciated :) x Pic of my cutie for tax 😋

I would encourage him, he probably won’t master it for a while but it’s great that he’s trying :) also what a cutie 🥹

@Estera okay!! He’s just such a determined little boy once he wants to do something that’s it that’s all he wants to do, and because like I said he’s obviously not strong enough to stand alone I feel like I’m just teaching him to be dangerous if I help! But it is good practise I suppose. The little monkey was crawling at 5.5 months and wouldn’t stop trying until he mastered it he just thinks he’s such a big boy clearly🤣

My LG turned 6 months yesterday and has been standing with support for about a month. I think little ones know when they are ready for things so I always think we should encourage them and be led by their willingness 😃 xx
